Recording
We love making records. We are remarkably specific with our equipment selection and room utilisation, but it must be stated that there is no right or wrong way to make a recording. It really depends on the style of music and the way the band wants to work. We can accommodate just about any size recording. We work with bands, jazz ensembles, string sections, solo acoustic artists, brass sections, voice over artists, anything that needs to be put to tape. If you bring your project to Underground we can guarantee it will be the most flattering representation of your work.
Mixing
For many projects, the mixing process is seen as part of a recording. If you have witnessed any engineer worth their salt you will have noticed that the final balance/mix is being taken into account from the first microphone placing. All decisions made are with the end product in mind and this is something that is drifted on throughout a session. However, if you have a session that has been recorded in a less than suitable environment (bedroom, rehearsal space et al.) then we can bring your record together to a more professional standard and present the instrumentation in a more flattering way. It is often helpful to have someone more experienced with the task of balancing and presenting a complex array of tracks.
Voice Over
Our vocal booth can be constituted for voice recording. Additionally, we have high end microphones and preamplifiers that give the human voice presence and detail. You will find that the size and comfort of Underground outperforms most purpose-built voice over studios whilst having more competitive rates.
